CHAPTERS
Chapters have always played a significant role in providing leadership, education and networking opportunities within the Massachusetts credit union movement. The chapters give credit union officials and staff the opportunity to meet regularly, get to know each other, and exchange ideas that help them make their individual credit unions better.
Each of the chapters has a board of directors and officers that are responsible for planning meetings, communicating with the membership, establishing budgets, and working with the League. In addition, each chapter elects one representative to sit on the League’s Board of Directors.
In addition to providing educational and networking opportunities, the chapters have done a great deal to further the cause of credit unions throughout the years. Chapters are instrumental in fostering grassroots political involvement, supporting community programs, and reaching out to the youth of the Commonwealth through scholarship programs.
